Define LOSER

I just wanted to share the message I got today from Bo Sanchez' God Whispers email.

I love God Whispers because for some reason, the messages always seem apt to whatever my current situation is.

Here it is:

http://janeheller.mlblogs.com/archives/2010/04/ok_so_the_first_l_is_out_of_th.html

Losers are losers because their goal in life is to be comfortable. Winners
are winners because their goal in life is to achieve great things, which
will then make them feel comfortable. Losers and winners want the same
thing, but they take different paths.

I know you. You won’t like cheap comfort. You want the real
thing.

Biggest Loser Asia Winner!

Have you seen the winner of the first ever Biggest Loser Asia? Were you even able to follow the series?
Well, my mom did. I watched only a few episodes here and there plus the finale, of course.
Gosh! I almost didn't recognize the finalists (except for Martha who was still pretty chubby, I thought) especially the winner, David Gurnani (see photo below courtesy of Yahoo! Philippines)

He got sooo thin already! Kudos to him for getting thin but quite honestly, my first thought when I saw him was he looks really sick. He looks unhealthy. It even looks like his hair thinned out, too. I think in his quest to win the prize, he took it a bit too far and didn't eat healthy anymore. Then of course, this is just my own opinion.
I watched the Biggest Loser US and the last winner, my personal favorite, Ali lost a lot of weight and although her face also thinned significantly she still looked quite healthy versus how frail David looked after his weight loss.
Here's Ali in a Got Milk? ad courtesy of dingorue.com. Doesn't she look fantastic!?

Carlo the runner-up in Biggest Loser Asia (our Philippine bet) looks far better and healthier than David. I wish he had one just because I believe he took a healthier route to weight loss which is why he didn't lose as much as David.
Anyhow, congratulations to David and I hope he starts eating (if he is eating) healthy and exercises in moderation.
To everyone's health!
